Hosted by Kevin Smith and Dani Fernandez, this remote presentation of the Super Awards will air on The CW on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at 8 p.m. EST.
Today, nominations for the Critics Choice Super Awards have been announced, and among the list of stellar nominees is the HBO original series Lovecraft Country.
The show itself received a nomination for Best Horror Series. Jonathan Majors, who plays Atticus Freeman, was nominated for Best Actor in a Horror Series. Jurnee Smollett (Letitia “Leti” Lewis) and Wunmi Mosaku (Ruby Baptiste) were both nominated for Best Actress in a Horror Series.
Lovecraft Country follows Atticus Freeman, his childhood friend Leti, and his uncle George as they journey through the Jim Crow South in search of Atticus’ father, Montrose. Along the way, they learn about monsters in every form, magic, and uncover shocking family secrets. The first season is available to watch on HBO Max.
