Austin Television Festival will premiere their conversation with the stars behind the new hit Disney + and National Geographic series The Right Stuff today!

The Right Stuff is the exciting adaption of Tom Wolfe’s 1979 book of the same name, which follows the story of the U.S. Space Program’s early days and those very first American astronauts, the Mercury Seven. Newly formed NASA has been tasked with sending a man into space, a feat their engineers believe will take decades to accomplish. When they are given just two years to make the impossible happen, Project Mercury is created and selects just seven astronauts to train from among the United States military’s best pilots. The Mercury Seven are thrust into the national spotlight and must deal with the rigors of training while juggling their newfound ‘celebrity status.’

ATX TV Festival’s exclusive conversation with the cast includes stars Patrick J. Adams (John Glenn), Jake McDorman (Alan Shephard), Colin O’Donoghue (Gordon Cooper), James Lafferty (Scott Carpenter), Michael Trotter (Gus Grissom), Micah Stock (Deke Slayton), and Aaron Staton (Wally Schirra) to discuss filming The Right Stuff and bringing the Mercury Seven to life. It’s a conversation you won’t want to miss!

Don’t miss the star studded line up on ATX TV Festival’s YouTube channel here at 5/4 p.m. C. The first seven episodes of The Right Stuff are available to stream on Disney + now.
