Starting as early as Thursday, you will be able to pre-order the new console at popular stores such as GameStop and Best Buy. The Blu-Ray equipped version will be retailing for $499.99, and the digital only version will be $299.99. The console will be available to buy in stores November 12, 2020 and all pre-orders will be shipped out that day also. The reveal finally gives some closure to PlayStation fans on the price and release date beyond “holiday 2020”, as they have been telling us since the PlayStation 5 was first shown.
In addition to the console price, they also covered pricing for some accessories for the console, such as $70 for a single DualSense wireless controller and $100 for the Pulse 3D wireless headset.
Sony has promised us some amazing new technology with the new console such as faster loading times, more detailed environments in games, and more immersive audio.

The PlayStation 5 will be available for purchase November 12 in select countries and November 19 for the rest of the world, and will be available for pre-order September 17 at select retailers. You can sign up on the PlayStation website for a chance to pre-order the console!
