ICYMI: ‘Supernatural’ Cast and Crew Creatively Wish Misha Collins a Happy Birthday From Set
As I’m sure you’re all aware, yesterday was Misha Collins’ birthday (to read our birthday post for him, visit here). Though Misha wasn’t able to be on set for his big day (I’m clinging to the hope that he was still in quarantine and Cas isn’t dead), his fellow cast and crew all pitched in to send him an interesting birthday video message.
I wasn’t on set today, but some of my favorite people were there along with my body double. pic.twitter.com/zkHsa28Umf

In a conglomeration of baritone and (attempted) bass voices, the cast and crew — led by Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki along with Jake Abel — sang happy birthday to… Misha’s tape ball effigy? In place of Misha stood a platform donned in Castiel’s characteristic wardrobe of the suit/trenchcoat combo and the infamous SPN tape ball in place of a head, which Jensen affectionately knocks off at the end of the serenade. All in all, the video culminated in a silly, yet heartfelt, birthday wish, showcasing the bond between the cast and crew members.
As you can see, Supernatural is back on set filming the final episodes. The show is set to go back on air on October 8 with the show’s finale coming on November 19. According to Entertainment Weekly, there will also be an hour-long “finale special” titled Supernatural: The Long Road Home scheduled to air at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT, followed by the series finale. With Supernatural ending soon, we’re happy to soak up all the content and set shenanigans while they last. October 8 can’t come fast (or slow) enough.
