Eugene Levy, who many fans of Schitt’s Creek know as Johnny Rose, has received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Newport Beach Film Festival. Although he couldn’t be surrounded and celebrated in person for this prestigious award, he was recognized by family, friends, and costars in a heartfelt video message. Some of the messages were from Steve Martin, Martin Short, Catherine O’Hara, Jason Biggs, Annie Murphy, Jennifer Coolidge, Andrea Martin, Emily Hampshire, and even Levy’s children Sarah and Dan Levy. Dan Levy plays Johnny’s son David Rose on Schitt’s Creek and co-created the show with Eugene. According to Entertainment Weekly, here is what Dan Levy had to say about his father:

“You are incredibly professional, you are incredibly kind, and you have been such a role model for me, just in terms of how to be good generally, and good at your job.”
