Harry Styles has been nominated for three Video Music Awards (VMAs) by MTV! “Adore You” has been nominated for Best Direction (Dave Meyers), Best Visual Effects (Mathematic), and Best Art Direction (Laura Ellis Cricks). All three nominations are industry voted, which means fans will not be able to vote to determine the winner. Styles has been previously nominated in 2017 for Best Visual Effects and Pop Video of the Year for the video “Sign of the Times” off his first album.

“Adore You” is a seven-minute-long video that follows a most peculiar boy with a bright smile (Styles) as he struggles to belong on the fictional island of Eroda, eventually finding a friend in a fish who feels just as alone as he does. Yes, this video features Styles earnestly singing a love song to a fish. It’s perfection. It is narrated by Rosalía, who known for her single “Malamente” and was nominated for two Grammy Awards this past year (winning one). You can watch the full video below, and be sure to watch the VMAs on MTV on August 30 to see if Styles takes home any awards!
