Quibi has announced that it is developing a Code 8 mini series starring the Amell cousins; Stephen and Robbie.
Code 8 is set in a world where 4% of the population is born with superhuman abilities; but in this world they aren’t treated like superheroes, instead they are feared. The series will be set years after the film, and will be centered around an ex-con played by Robbie Amell, and a telekinetic drug dealer played by Stephen Amell, who are forced to work together to bring down corrupt cops and the city’s elite who run a dangerous trafficking ring.
Robbie Amell and Stephen Amell worked together to launch an Indiegogo to make the film. They raised $2.2 million more than they originally sought, making it $2.4 million with over 27,000 backers.
Code 8 is set to be released this Friday in theaters.
