SeaWorld Orlando Reveals Ride Car for New Coaster
Debuting in spring 2020, guests will ride through a thrilling family friendly adventures on SeaWorld Orlando’s first launch coaster, Ice Breaker. Named for the icy Arctic summits, Ice Breaker will feature four launches, both backward and forwards, culminating in a reverse launch into the steepest drop in Florida — a 93-foot tall spike with a 100-degree angle. Ice Breaker will be 1900 feet of track with maximum speeds of 52 mph! The ride will last between 80 and 90 seconds.
Located close to the Wild Arctic Attraction, Ice Breaker’s wintery theme reflects this area of the park with a nod to its conservation partner, Alaska SeaLife Center. Primarily dedicated to marine research, education, and wildlife response, the Alaska SeaLife Center mission matches closely to SeaWorld Orlando’s, making them an ideal partner to help educate riders about the Arctic and its inhabitants.
Ice Breaker makes the perfect addition to SeaWorld’s ever-growing ride list, and its 48-inch rider height makes it a family friendly thrill ride. From the thrills of Mako, Manta, and Kraken to the water rapids of Infinity Falls and the flume fun of Journey to Atlantis, Ice Breaker joins the park’s famed attractions as a must-ride experience in Orlando.
