Capaldi, who’s dubbed himself “America’s Sweetheart,” is best known for his hit single “Someone You Loved,” which has held the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for three straight weeks. He sure knows how to pull at every heart string!
“Before You Go” is Capaldi at his very best: full of raw emotion. The song expresses how one can never fully understand what is going on in the minds of our loved ones. This song dives deep into the regret of not knowing that someone needed you but didn’t have the words to express that need; not knowing whether or not there was something you could have done to help them come out on the other side of whatever was pulling them down in this world.
Capaldi has a way of breaking listeners down with his music. He speaks of love, regret, heartbreak, and real-life pain through his songs in a way that connects with fans all across the globe.
