Over a year after releasing new music, singer-songwriter Cobi has released a new single. The song is titled “Island in My Mind,” and once again showcases Cobi’s incredible talent. You can listen to it now on Spotify, SoundCloud, and iTunes. Trust me, you’re going to want to listen to this one.

Cobi opened up about his past year in a recent Instagram post when he announced the release date of the single. He talked about becoming a father and losing his own and adapting to both major life changes. He mentions how those experiences will shape not only this new single, but more upcoming music. While his previous music is filled with depth and emotion, “Island in My Mind” feels (and sounds) much more deeply personal, especially after reading a little about the background. It is easily his best song (in my totally unbiased opinion).

Cobi initially released his music on SoundCloud, debuting “Don’t You Cry For Me,” which garnered the attention of 26 million people, and “Prophet Story.” In September 2017, he released his first EP, Songs From the Ashes, Pt. 1, that consisted of three songs: “Goddess,” “Nobody Opened the Door,” and “Underneath.” The EP continued to solidify his place in the music world.

Last year, he released the second part of the EP, which also had three songs: “Church of the Lonely,” “Burnin’ One Down,” and “Rising Phoenix.” It was a surprise to absolutely no one that the EP was yet another fantastic display of his talent and left fans wanting more.

You can find the rest of Cobi’s music on iTunes, SpotifyYouTube, and SoundCloud. You can also follow him on Twitter and Instagram to keep up with his latest music news.
