Misha Collins Passes Out Cookies at SDCC About ‘SPN Family Values’
Misha Collins made a surprise appearance to fans waiting in line to get into Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con today, where Supernatural will hold their final comic-con panel. He was accompanied by Charlie Capen, the VP of GISH. Collins and Capen passed out cookies, and on the cookies were stickers that said “SPNFAMILYVALUES.COM. Let’s Do This. #SPNFAMILY.” When you visit the URL, it re-directs you to GISH, where you can help donate to send supplies for Humanitarian Aid.
The Supernatural family is known for being one of the most, if not the most, charitable fandom in television. They’ve raised a significant amount of money and supplies for various charities over the span of years.
Here’s more about the campaign:
Donate supplies and help improve someone’s life in simple but meaningful ways by contributing to the Val Verde Border Humanitarian Coalition’s Amazon Wishlist. This list of items will satisfy the needs of people in need.
The Val Verde Border Humanitarian Coalition (VVBHC) is a nonprofit that currently relies entirely on volunteers and donations to meet asylum seekers’ short-term needs. Families receive bags with hygiene items, essentials, and small toys and books for children. Additionally, infant and toddler care supplies, clothing, shoes, hygiene supplies and other needs are provided to help families connect with their sponsors. VVBHC partners with the City of Del Rio to provide overnight shelter. VVBHC honors each person’s dignity while working to transition families safely in order to avoid homelessness, trafficking, and other traumas.
