Podcast Spotlight: ‘Be My Neighbor’

If you’re looking for a new motivational podcast where it feels like you are just sitting in your living room with a glass of wine and friends, look no further.

The Be My Neighbor podcast consists of friends and neighbors Brittney Levine, an on-air style expert, and Bevin Prince an actress (One Tree Hill) and soul cycle queen. Each week they talk about inspirational and real subjects like relationships, infertility, exercise, body confidence, lifestyle and more. A lot of the topics they cover come from requests that the listeners have sent in, and for the questions asked, Levine and Prince, bring on guests in the field of the topic, and they have a comfortable Ted Talk style conversation.

Be My Neighbor describes the inspiration behind creating the podcast on their website as:

“We decided it was only right to turn our weekly conversations about life’s struggles and happiness into our podcast, aptly titled, “Be My Neighbor. Give it a listen – we would love to hear from you about your neighbor stories, life struggles, relationships, fitness regime, etc.  Little or big, nothing is taken for granted here in our safe space.”

Some of my favorite episodes from the current 21 released episodes are:

Episode 4 “Talk Kindly to Yourself” where Prince and Levine talk about fitness and self-confidence. How to fit it into your schedule, make sure you have a healthy mindset for working out properly, and finding your “why.”

Episode 5 “A Sisterhood is Coming” has guest Danneel Ackles (The Christmas Contract), talking about relationships, self-confidence, motherhood, womanhood, being an entrepreneur (starting The Family Business Beer Company), and using your voice.

Episode 18 “Authenticity is Always our True North” features their first male guest, Tommy Didario, who is a TV host and on-air Lifestyle Expert. He talks about being an influencer, learning to say no, and doing what makes you happy.

Y’all– today’s episode “Authenticity is Always our True North” features the first MAN to ever sit down at our BE MY NEIGHBOR table – Tommy Didario! ⠀⠀ If you don’t know Tommy or haven’t watched him on your TV, he is a Host and on-air Lifestyle Expert that covers it all – from pop news, trends, fashion, grooming, wellness and fitness! Tommy is also a contributor on The Rachael Ray Show, a co-host of Amazon Live and known as one of GQ’s exclusive GQ Insiders, partnering with some of the biggest global brands. ⠀⠀ We found this episode to be so refreshing with him as we sipped the tea (aka rosé) and dished on: ✨✨✨ 🔹The “influencer” word and how Tommy went from organically managing two of the largest companies social media accounts to his own 🔹How him and his husband @giobenitez broke the internet with their Paris proposal ⠀⠀ 🔹Coming from a place of not saying NO while not operating on fear Tommy is totally our style – an all-heart, real person that puts in the work to make it happen. We’d love to hear your thoughts and if you have any questions for Tommy, we will send his way! ♥️ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀

This episode is near and dear to @bevinaprince’s heart as we’re so excited to welcome her mentor, Senior Master Instructor and “godmother” of @soulcycle – @soulpimp – Janet Fitzgerald. Janet is one of the founding members of Soul, bringing over 20 years of fitness experience to her classes every day. If you haven’t been to one of her classes, you need to sign up now if you’re in NYC, because she has this ability to lead her riders on an inspirational journey towards total self-empowerment, not to mention the most thoughtfully curated playlists. Janet has some stories; we couldn’t stop laughing as she weaved her web of not having a cent to her name, leaving and finding love to growing the biggest fitness company we know. Here’s Janet – link in bio- you’re welcome.
