Podcast Spotlight: ‘Be My Neighbor’

Share:

If you’re looking for a new motivational podcast where it feels like you are just sitting in your living room with a glass of wine and friends, look no further.

The Be My Neighbor podcast consists of friends and neighbors Brittney Levine, an on-air style expert, and Bevin Prince an actress (One Tree Hill) and soul cycle queen. Each week they talk about inspirational and real subjects like relationships, infertility, exercise, body confidence, lifestyle and more. A lot of the topics they cover come from requests that the listeners have sent in, and for the questions asked, Levine and Prince, bring on guests in the field of the topic, and they have a comfortable Ted Talk style conversation.

Be My Neighbor describes the inspiration behind creating the podcast on their website as:

“We decided it was only right to turn our weekly conversations about life’s struggles and happiness into our podcast, aptly titled, “Be My Neighbor. Give it a listen – we would love to hear from you about your neighbor stories, life struggles, relationships, fitness regime, etc.  Little or big, nothing is taken for granted here in our safe space.”

Some of my favorite episodes from the current 21 released episodes are:

Episode 4 “Talk Kindly to Yourself” where Prince and Levine talk about fitness and self-confidence. How to fit it into your schedule, make sure you have a healthy mindset for working out properly, and finding your “why.”

Episode 5 “A Sisterhood is Coming” has guest Danneel Ackles (The Christmas Contract), talking about relationships, self-confidence, motherhood, womanhood, being an entrepreneur (starting The Family Business Beer Company), and using your voice.

Episode 18 “Authenticity is Always our True North” features their first male guest, Tommy Didario, who is a TV host and on-air Lifestyle Expert. He talks about being an influencer, learning to say no, and doing what makes you happy.

Episode 20 “Soul Pimp”: Prince’s mentor and one of the founders of SoulCycle, Janet Fitzgerald talks about her long road to self-empowerment, and the hard journey of growing up to develop a successful fitness company.

You can listen to the podcast on iTunes, SoundCloud, or the Be My Neighbor website.
