Interval Presents, Warner Music Group’s (WMG) in-house podcast network, has shared the official trailer for Underwater, a new scripted podcast series starring Jason Derulo and Alexandra Shipp.
Nico (Derulo) who works for nightlife mogul Marcus whose clubs serve as a cover for his criminal activities. When Marcus asks Nico to return to the island where he is from he feels indebted to the man and so he checks into Destino, a high-end resort, where his target Ana (Shipp) is known to be staying. He’s confident he can use his charm to get her wrapped around his finger but when he meets her everything changes because he has met his match. “What ensues is a passionate and dangerous game of cat-and-mouse, and not even Nico and Ana know where the deception ends and their real feelings begin,” the description for Underwater reads. “As their dark pasts become present threats, they must decide once and for all: will they destroy each other or give each other something to live for?”
Underwater is produced by Clamor and Temple Hill Entertainment with an extensive voice cast that includes Beau Bridgland, Michael Dearie, Aneesha DuBois, Andrew Frankel, Melissa Greenspan, Alice Hunter, Jeremy Jordan, Josh Keaton, Tara Langella, Jonathan Leon, Donis Leonard Jr., Michael McGlone, Carla Renata, Giancarlo Sabogal, David Shatraw, Andre Sogliuzzo, and Cameron J. Wright.
Derulo also wrote brand new music that correspond with the story and score across the eight episodes. Underwater premieres with two episodes on Tuesday, October 31, on all major podcasts
