The Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles will open a brand new Star Trek fully immersive exhibit called “Exploring New Worlds” this Spring.

Guests can expect to view over 100 items related to Star Trek and it’s multiple spin-off series and movies. Featured items include: The original USS Enterprise navigation console; Kirk, Spock, Uhura, and McCoy’s costumes and the six-foot USS Enterprise filming model from Star Trek: The Next Generation.

In addition, the Skirball Cultural Center hopes to highlight the impact of the Star Trek phenomenon on today’s culture. Promotional materials state:

Both longtime fans and those new to the cultural phenomenon will learn how 50-plus years after a television program with modest ratings first aired, the stories and messages of Star Trek continue to resonate worldwide.

The limited engagement exhibit opens April 30, 2020 and will run through September 6. For more information, visit the Skirball Cultural Center website.
