Brent Leroy (Brent Butt) and everyone from the small community of Dog River, Saskatchewan are back for another season of shenanigans. The second season of Corner Gas Animated will premiere on July 1 (Canada Day) and will feature a well-known cameo by none other than Michael J. Fox.

The show is centered around Brent, who works in and owns the only gas station in town, Corner Gas. Working alongside Brent is Wanda (Nancy Robertson), the know-it-all employee. The gas station is also attached to a diner called Ruby’s that is run by Lacey (Gabrielle Miller), who is from the big city of Toronto, Ontario. In a small town like Dog River, where everyone knows everyone we are also introduced to Oscar (Eric Peterson), whose favorite word is “jackass” and Emma (Corrine Koslo), Brent’s parents, the two town cops Davis (Lorne Cardinal) and Karen (Tara Spencer-Nairn), and Hank (Fred Ewanuick), who can’t seem to get one of the many jobs to stick.

The animated series premiered in 2018, four years after Corner Gas: The Movie where we saw everyone come together to win the quaintest town in Canada contest to save their town. The tv show Corner Gas went on for six seasons from 2004-2009. The animated version of the series allows for more creative things to happen, like a Sasquatch fighting a unicorn.

Season two of Corner Gas Animated premieres July 1 on the Comedy Network. Watch the video about the show’s success and the natural evolution to an animated series below.
