REVIEW: Sideshow Collectibles ‘Captain America’ Movie Promo Figure

Share:

I got the chance to unbox the Captain America Movie Promo Edition figure from Sideshow Collectibles. This is the Captain America from Avengers: Infinity War and while I was excited by the pictures on their website, I was concerned that the figure would not live up to them.

I was very pleasantly surprised when I opened the box and the figure surpassed all my expectations. The figure is a 1:6 scale figure and it comes with two weapons and the shields that Steve wielded during the Battle of Wakanda at the end of Avengers: Infinity War.

Starting at the top of the figure, the hair was done in multiple shades of blonde and brown that perfectly matched the color in the movie. The figure also has Steve’s blue eyes and the beard he was sporting in the movie.

His costume was the dark costume with the blacked out star on his chest. It was made from material that felt like an armored uniform and had all the small details like his belt, his shoulder brace, elbow pads, knee pads, combat boots and buckles on the boots. The hands were interchangeable, depending on what weapon I had him hold, or what pose he was doing at the time. There was a base and stand, and the background of the box slid out to use as a staging background if wanted.

All in all, this was a great figure and I’m looking forward to ordering the Iron Man figure as well as the Bucky Barnes figure when it is released.

Sideshow Collectibles has a wide range of collectibles from DC, Harry Potter, Marvel and other comic and science fiction series. Their attention to detail and handiwork is perfection, and I would recommend them to anyone who is looking to expand their collectibles.
