More Details Released About ‘Star Trek: Discovery’ Including a Female Lead Character!

StarTrek.com has released new details about Star Trek: Discovery! Creator and executive producer, Bryan Fuller, gave the details during the Television Critics Association Summer Tour.

Bryan announced that the main character will be a woman, but she won’t be a captain! The first season will be 13 episodes, with a diverse cast – including a gay character. There will be robots on Discovery and the ship’s design is still a work in progress.

The show will be set 10 years before Star Trek: The Original Series.
