The L Word: Generation Q season 2 will be returning this August and hopefully answering some of the cliffhanger questions fans were left with at the end of the first season. Like, who did Sophie go to, Dani or Finley?
The ten-episode season will focus on the lives and loves of Bette, Alice, Shane, Sophie, Dani, Finley, and Micah.
After losing and not becoming the next mayor of Los Angeles, Bette is at a crossroads, unsure what to do both professionally and personally. She is still dealing with the fact that her ex-wife Tina is engaged. Now divorced, Shane puts her efforts into getting the bar running successfully. Alice is writing her first book (yay!), which takes her somewhere new. Micah, single after dumping his boyfriend, who was married, has some significant changes in both his career and love life as he confides in Dani on a run. Then there is the triangle of Sophie, Dani, and Finley; will that come to light? Why does Finley have a black eye? Will their friendship remain intact?
Watch for answers, and more questions, when The L Word: Generation Q returns on August 8 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Showtime.

It’s the sign of the times. As the world emerges from the pandemic and into the new normal, Jason Manns ended his Quarantune Tuesday StageIt concerts, as in-person events and recording projects return as the world opens up. Although he may not do weekly StageIt concerts online every week, he will have a “Christmas in July” StageIt concert on June 25 at 4:10 p.m. ET.
The traditional Tuesday StageIt was a weekly online concert, and as the pandemic shut plans down across the world, Manns rebranded his StageIt concerts calling them Quarantune Tuesdays. Every Tuesday without interruption at 12:05 p.m. ET, Manns took the virtual stage and played songs, took requests, and interacted with the audience via chat. Routines emerged and Quarantune Tuesdays became the only place to hear Jason live. He played songs from his arsenal of albums as well as songs he famously covered during the StageIts such as Jason Isbell’s “Cover Me Up” and “Stand By Me” by Ben E. King. Sometimes he ended the online concerts snippets of covers, which could include anything from Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass” to the Motown hit “I Heard It Through The Grapevine.” Toward the end of the pandemic, Manns added a second show on Tuesday evenings.
The concerts were beloved by fans, who looked forward to Manns every week when the world seemed uncertain. One regular attendee stated, “I don’t know what I would have done without Jason’s music, stories, and [his] dad jokes. It meant enjoying great live music every Tuesday and getting to know amazing people who will now be lifelong friends, at a time when live events and meeting with friends wasn’t possible. And that meant everything.”
Jason Manns
Regular attendees came to know each other through the StageIt chat on the right of the screen. Through the months and week after week, fans celebrated each other on new jobs, graduations, and became friends on and off the StageIt platform.
The last Quarantunes StageIt took place on June 29 at 7 p.m. Songs performed at the last Quarantune shows included “Ophelia,” “Cover Me Up,” “Cry To Me,” “Stand By Me,” “When Did I Stop Believing,” and “Something to Love.” As the show came to a close, he ended his last Quarantune Tuesday by thanking his audience for spending so much time with him and saying the StageIts won’t completely end; he is just taking a break.
Currently, Manns is working on a new Christmas album which has a campaign on Fundly. He will be holding a “Christmas in July” StageIt on July 25 at 4:10 p.m. ET and will hold his first post-pandemic in-person live event with Paul Carella at Rockwood Festival on July 18 in Frankfurt, Germany. If all of these events weren’t enough to keep Manns busy, he is also opening The Heist, a live music venue in Bowling Green, Virginia late this summer.
Before the premiere of Fear Street Part 1: 1994 this Friday on Netflix, the opening scene is here for viewing pleasure.
Fear Street follows a group of teens that live in Shadyside. Together they learn that the sinister events that have haunted the town for years could be linked, and they may end up part of it. Each film will follow a different time period: 1994, 1978, and 1666.
In the five-minute clip, Heather (Maya Hawke) is on her shift at B. Dalton’s bookstore in the Shadyside mall when a number of strange occurrences begin happening. Eventually, a skull-masked murderer drags her through the store but she’s able to get free and run away. The person does catch up to her though as she makes a final attempt to flee.
