Before the premiere of Fear Street Part 1: 1994 this Friday on Netflix, the opening scene is here for viewing pleasure.
Fear Street follows a group of teens that live in Shadyside. Together they learn that the sinister events that have haunted the town for years could be linked, and they may end up part of it. Each film will follow a different time period: 1994, 1978, and 1666.
In the five-minute clip, Heather (Maya Hawke) is on her shift at B. Dalton’s bookstore in the Shadyside mall when a number of strange occurrences begin happening. Eventually, a skull-masked murderer drags her through the store but she’s able to get free and run away. The person does catch up to her though as she makes a final attempt to flee.
The sequels will release on July 9 and July 16.
