Hugh Jackman took to the plaza stage this morning on The Today Show, performing opening number “The Greatest Show” from hit movie musical The Greatest Showman, which was released late last year. He was energetic as he sang and danced alongside a small group of dancers to some moves that fans will recognize from the the film.
He looked every bit as excited as he claimed to be when he spoke with The Today Show‘s Al Roker and Craig Melvin, calling the tour “The Man. The Music. The Show.” a “dream come true”.
He followed his first performance with a medley from Les Miserables, which featured “Valjean’s Soliloquy” and “One Day More”. Alongside Jackman was a choir of at least twenty other singers which will be accompanying him on the tour to sing backup.
The tour officially begins in June of 2019, with presale tickets available on Ticketmaster as early as Dec. 5 at 10 a.m. EST.
If you have not gotten a chance to check out the “soul squad”, get out from under your rock, and get on this train. The show blends quirky humor with deep philosophical questions about life and what it really means to be a “good” person. With a diverse and beautiful cast full of great television veterans (like Ted Danson and Kristin Bell) and new talent (D’Arcy Carden, who plays omniscient Janet, will have you rolling), plus fantastic writing, this show is one that can be enjoyed by people of all ages.
The Season 3 fall finale airs this Thursday at 8:30/7:30c
This week’s episode picks up right where the last one ended. The sisters are running after the girl who they think is responsible for their mother’s death and who stole the scythe. She manages to evade them and use the scythe to free something as a hand reaches out of the ground.
Accompanied by Mel (Melonie Diaz) they go to a crime scene to see if it is demonic and has to do with what was set free, the whole time there they are being watched. Charity tells the sisters that the Sisters of Arcana was started by an elder and is the reason Fiona – Charity’s sister – died. Mel meets with the elders, and they want her to join the Sister of Arcana to find out what they are doing.
Maggie (Sarah Jeffery) applies to work to sign up people for a dating app to help them find their perfect match. They are really making her character very similar to Pheobe. The demon they are chasing is a bug demon using the dating app Maggie is working to find its victims. Macy is out on a date from the app and gets kidnapped, waking up in a web cocoon. Maggie, Mel, and Harry go to the basement of the company to save her. When they are looking at the buildings, map the basement is level P3. They named the basement after Piper’s club in the original series.
Alastair (Craig Parker), Hunter (Constantine Rousouli), and Parker (Nick Hargrove) are trying to get the sisters blood to use in a serum that can help Parker since his demon half is killing his human half. Parker asks Maggie if she would get her plasma tested because he is in need of a transfusion, she says yes, and Mel goes with her as well.
When Mel takes out the garbage at work she is approached by Jada (Aleyse Shannon), she explains that she is not trying to kill her she is trying to recruit her. She is part of a witch group called Sisters of Arcana a rogue group of witches the don’t follow the elder’s rules. Jada reveals that she is half witch, half white lighter and that Mel’s mother Marisol (Valerie Cruz) was an ally and had helped her write a spell in the Book of Shadows. Jada gave back their piece of the scythe and said that she used it to release one of the greatest witches in recent history that the elders banished.
Galvin (Ser’Darius Blain) is in a bad mood because he broke up with his girlfriend and found out his research funding was cut and takes his attitude out on Macy (Madeleine Mantock). Macy confides in her sisters that she still wants Galvin and calls him to have a drink with her. On his way to meet her, Galvin gets hit by a car, and his protection mark is glowing.

Collins is the co-founder and board president of Random Acts, an organization focused on making a difference in the world one “random act of kindness at a time.” Most recently, Random Acts raised over $240k dollars to fight childhood hunger all over the world as part of their annual Endure4Kindness event. Several members of the Supernatural cast participated in the Amica Seattle Marathon as part of The Bad Idea Tour where they logged over 201.5 miles between the ten participants which included Collins, Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, Adam Fergus, and Rob Benedict. RA partnered with Move for Hunger to collect nonperishable food items at the marathon as well collecting almost 350 canned goods. The non-profit has been responsible for raising over $30k dollars for UNICEF’s disaster relief efforts in Haiti after the 2010 earthquake that devastated the country as well as raising money and taking trips to build a Center for Human Development in Nicaragua. The Center for Human Development is now the campus of The Free High School of San Juan del Sur which allows farming families to have access to an education which was previously unreachable.
Collins is also the Founder and Director of the Greatest International Scavenger Hunt, or GISH. GISH brings together fans from all over the world to participate in a week long event that plays out it’s mission to wake up the world and change it for the weirder – and better. GISH has drummed up over $400k for an assortment of charities, protected over 40k acres of rain forest, over 1,400 winter coat drives, assisted more than 1k women’s shelters, and registered over 800 people for bone marrow donations among other acts of charity since it’s inception in 2011. This past summer, GISH raised over $260k to be able to assist 250 women in Rwanda who were unable to support their families after the genocide that swept the country killing almost 800k men, women, and children. The focus of this funding was to be able to buy farmland along with farming implements and market stalls to allow the women to sell their vegetables. This will allow them to support themselves long term, an invaluable help from a group focused on long term assists as well as meeting immediate needs.
