Gameplay Trailer Released for ‘Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree’

In the Land of Shadow, Miquella awaits the return of his promised Lord.

Return to the Lands Between with the first trailer for Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. The gameplay trailer is three minutes long and showcases the open-world RPG’s second major update since its initial 2022 release, following the free Colosseum update that also came in 2022. The showcase comes with Elden Ring‘s second birthday just around the corner, developer FromSoftware and BANDAI NAMCO finally lifting the veil a bit on what players can expect in the highly anticipated upcoming expansion.

The official synopsis reads:

The Land of Shadow.

A place obscured by the Erdtree. Where the goddess Marika first set foot.
A land purged in an unsung battle. Set ablaze by Messmer’s flame.

It was to this land that Miquella departed.
Divesting himself of his flesh, his strength, his lineage.
Of all things Golden.
