Sareee (f.k.a. WWE’s Sarray) has officially signed a contract with the up and coming U.S. based Japanese female wrestling league, Sukeban.
Sareee will make her debut at the company’s second event in Miami this December, choosing to join the Cherry Bomb Girls stable. The match itself is a Special Attraction Fatal Four Way match between one member of each stable. Saree will face off against Countess Saori (Dangerous Liaisons), Atomic Banshee (Vandals), and Babyface (Harajuku Stars), with one fall to a finish. So far, Sukeban’s Miami show also consists of a world title match between Ichigo Sayaka vs. Commander Nakajima.
In 2020, Sareee joined WWE but her arrival to the United States was halted due to the ongoing worldwide COVID-19 pandemic. Just over a year after signing, Sareee appeared in NXT and was sporadically used over the course of the next year. In March of 2023, Sareee announced that she would be leaving NXT. After arriving back in Japan, Sareee wrestled mostly freelance while also making stops in Pro Wrestling Land’s End, AJPW, SEAdLINNNG, and most recently Sendai Girls’ Pro Wrestling. She is highly regarded as one of the top unsigned talent, now joining a stellar roster that aims to bring more of a western audience to Joshi style wrestling. Sukeban’s first event took place in September in New York City. The company’s social media presence — especially on TikTok — has garnered them millions of views. A compilation of moments from the premiere was released on TikTok after the event, reaching over 3.3 million viewers.
More information regarding the show will be released in the coming days, so stay tuned for ways to purchase tickets and stream the show.
