After his match on AEW Dynamite, the AEW World Champion MJF was not only faced with The Acclaimed and Roderick Strong and The Kingdom while also suffering a beat down from Bullet Club Gold, he was also confronted by Kenny Omega.
In recent weeks, the champion has been playing mind games with Omega, letting him know that he’s going to beat his record for the longest reigning AEW Champion. Omega believes he has reserved the right to defend his streak and so he challenges MJF to the championship. MJF agrees — this Saturday on AEW Collision the former champion will try to reclaim his spot.
Omega held the championship for 346 days as the third champion in AEW’s short history. But MJF faces another challenge. Not only is he in the center of a story with Bullet Club Gold, Wardlow returned just a few weeks ago and has made it known he wants to get his hands on MJF. With the cards stacked against him, will MJF retain and move on to face Jay White at Full Gear or will two former Bullet Club leaders clash one-on-one for the first time since 2018?
