AEW Rampage Card Announced for October 27, 2023

The card for this week’s episode of AEW Rampage has been revealed. Alongside a segment between AEW World Champion MJF and Kenny Omega, who will challenge for the title on AEW Collision October 28, three matches have also been announced.

Former best friends and tag team partners Santana and Ortiz will be back inside of a ring for the first time since August at AEW All In. There, they wrestled in a Stadium Stampede match, teaming up with the BCC against Best Friends. Now they will appear on opposite ends of the ring for the first time in AEW.

Kyle Fletcher will wrestle Konosuke Takeshita, both men being two rising stars in AEW. Since Mark Davis’ injury, Fletcher has been on a tear as a singles wrestler with matches against Omega and Bryan Danielson. Earlier this month, Takeshita and Fletcher teamed together against Omega and Chris Jericho, filling in for an injured Sammy Guevara. But after they lost, Don Callis had some words for Fletcher: “After Sammy Guevara was hurt by Chris Jericho, I had to get a replacement, I had to get a scab worker to come in. A young man named Kyle Fletcher, who, as great [of] an athlete as he is, he let us down. Kyle Fletcher screwed the Don Callis Family.”

A women’s four way match is also on the card, where the winner will receive a shot at the Women’s World Championship on AEW Collision. Skye Blue, Willow Nightingale, Abadon, and Anna Jay are all set to compete and it’s clear that Blue and Nightingale are favorable contenders to win the match. Blue has been going down a dark path since being misted by the House of Black’s Julia Hart and it seems as though she and Nightingale are butting heads about it.

AEW Rampage airs Friday nights at 10 p.m. on TNT.
