Welcome, foolish mortals!
Just in time for spooky season, Disney has announced the newest addition to their always-impressive lineup of immersive experiences: the first-ever bar inspired by the Haunted Mansion ride on board the Disney Treasure cruise ship.
Fans can expect to be spellbound by every detail displayed within the walls of the Haunted Mansion Parlor, with the bar resembling a first-class drawing room of a cruise liner from the golden age. The décor will stay true to the nostalgic style of the ride but with a nautical twist, from the instantly recognizable purple wallpaper to the armchair Disney die-hards have nicknamed the “Donald Duck chair” tucked in the corner. Guests will also encounter beloved characters from the original ride, as well as some new seafaring additions displayed in a gallery depicting the Treasure’s ghostly residents.
Ghoulish ghosts and happy haunts alike will also be able to enjoy exclusive merchandise like miniatures of the iconic music box and mantle clock, an engraved mug, and even a mirror that reflects images of the popular hitchhiking ghosts.
The Haunted Mansion Parlor also boasts an impressive lineup of themed cocktails and supernatural beverages, including a margarita that features a swirl of flavored smoke and a black light message; the plant-based Ghoulish Delight made with ube, oat milk, and tapioca pearls; and a zero-proof tiki-inspired drink flavored with blood orange and cherry.
Cruisers will also be able to listen to live entertainment that includes a custom musical arrangement inspired by the attraction’s original score, which follows the story of a captain who becomes a ghost after a disastrous dinner with his fiancée. The new songs will set the stage for the next chapter of the Haunted Mansion saga but will still maintain the eerie qualities that keep the ride close to fans’ hearts.
The Haunted Mansion Parlor sets sail aboard the Disney Treasure in December 2024.
