After yesterday’s new poster, the gods have been generous again today offering fans a brand new trailer for Percy Jackson and the Olympians.

With the release date just three months away anticipation is higher than ever for Disney’s upcoming adaptation of the Rick Riordan story that started it all, and this trailer certainly does not disappoint. Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, and Aryan Simhadr continue to shine as Percy, Annabeth and Grover, and the introductory narration is a perfect reflection of the books introduction. The trailer, which you can catch below, also offers our first look at some of the gods including Zeus and Aries, plus a glimpse at Percy’s first foe Mrs. Dodds and his mentor Chiron.

This official trailer is an amazing follow up to the original trailer released last year at the D23 Expo. Riordan’s storytelling really shines through, and the lead trio’s talent and passion for the project are on full display. We cannot wait to check out the show when it premieres on December 20, and with every new glimpse my faith in this adaptation being the one fans deserve increases.

As always, stay tuned for more updates, and check out all of our other content related to the show and Rick Riordan at their respective links, including things we’d like to see in the show and a list of Riordan’s upcoming projects!
