Terminator star Linda Hamilton has been added to season 5 of Stranger Things. The news was announced by Netflix at their TUDUM event, which is taking place in Brazil this year. Details on Hamilton’s character remain under wraps, as does the plot for season 5.

Spoilers for season 4 of Stranger Things ahead.

Season 4 of the series recently garnered high praise from critics and audiences alike, earning 13 Emmy Award nominations at the 74th Annual Awards. Season 4 took a dive into the past to reveal the sinister face behind the events of the first three seasons — Henry Creel/001/Peter Ballard. In the season, Vecna attempts to open portals to the real world from the Upside Down by horrifically murdering children, ultimately resulting in a showdown between him and Eleven. While there were some glorious returns — including Jim Hopper — the season ends with the question of Max Mayfield’s future hanging on a delicate thread after being Vecna’s last victim.

Stranger Things season 5 does not currently have a release date. Stay tuned with Nerds & Beyond for updates.

She’s been gaming since an early age, a trend that has continued into adulthood, and her most said phrase in regards to her favorite characters is “I could fix him/her.” Hasn’t stopped crying about Arthur Morgan since 2018 (with no plans to anytime soon) and thinks everyone should be nicer to Gale of Waterdeep. At her core, she's really just an aspiring vampire juice box. Especially nerdy about: video games, Star Wars, D&D, Spider-Man, and horror (all of it). Based in Denver, CO.
