Prime Video has officially ordered a second and final season of A League of Their Own. THe news follows about a month following The Hollywood Reporter‘s initial announcement.

The television adaptation of the hit 1992 film will have a four-episode second season meant to conclude the storylines from the first season, with THR earlier noting that a standalone movie was also considered. There is no word yet on when the new episodes would be expected to air.

About the series, co-creators and showrunners Will Graham and Abbi Jacobson said, “Making this show and seeing the impact it has had in the world has been an incredible joy. While obviously we were hoping for eleven seasons, we’re grateful to be able to continue to tell the story of these characters and this world.”

A League of Their Own stars Jacobson, D’Arcy Carden, Chante Adams, Melanie Field, and Kate Berlant, among a large ensemble cast. It was created by Jacobson and Graham (who is also responsible for current Prime Video hit Daisy Jones and the Six).
