From the very beginning, starting with Roadfood’s founders Jane and Michael Stern, Roadfood has been a labor of love. It seems possible that love won’t be fading any time soon, as indications point towards Roadfood: Discovering America one dish at a time returning for a second season!
According to Roadfood’s website calling for fellow foodies to become contributors, “Roadfood is gearing up for the second season of award winning television show, Roadfood: Discovering America One Dish at a Time on PBS,” signaling that a second season is in the works (or at least trying to make it to screen for another season). The show’s social media accounts have been especially active as of late, so it’s not implausible to think an effort to rouse the show for a second season is underway.
Roadfood, a PBS program, is hosted by Misha Collins, who along with his crew travels around the continental United States exploring the culinary landscape. From visiting local eateries to having conversations with the locals about prevalent issues they’re passionate about, Roadfood serves up the most satisfying blend of delicious food and thought-provoking conversations. To no surprise, the show immediately captivated fans, who saw a chance to expand their cultural competency through the eyes of the traveling camera.
There’s so much to love about this show, and as such, we can’t wait to see what Roadfood brings to our screens if it returns for a second season (read why it deserves one here). As of now, there is no official statement from PBS itself that the show has been picked up again, but all signs point in a positive direction.
