HBO has given us a first glimpse at their new limited series The Palace. The immensely talented and award-winning Kate Winslet will hold the starring role.

Currently, The Palace has just begun production in the UK and Austria. Not much is being said about the characters right now as HBO has decided to keep things secretive.

This limited series comes from the minds of Will Tracy and Frank Rich that have brought us the hugely successful Succession. Joining as a director is Stephen Frears, known for his work on The Queen. With a cast that includes the talent of Matthias Schoenaerts, Guillaume Gallienne, Andrea Riseborough, Martha Plimpton, and Hugh Grant this is sure to be an attention-grabbing show.

The Palace will follow these characters over the span of one year. During this year viewers will witness the goings on inside the palace walls. We will see the results of a dictator-type system of government when it begins to fall apart.

With an amazing showrunner and a group of writers like Seth Reiss, Juli Weiner, Jen Spyra, Gary Shteyngart, and Sarah DeLappe The Palace is sure to be another hit for HBO.

Stay tuned with Nerds & Beyond for updates.
