20th Century Studios’ true crime thriller, Boston Strangler, will follow the story of the trailblazing reporters who broke the notorious story in the 1960s.

Keira Knightley will play Loretta McLaughlin, who was the first reporter to connect all the dots and realize the seemingly random murders all had something in common. Alongside Knightley is Carrie Coon who plays Loretta’s colleague Jean Cole. These two incredible women’s journey for truth will take them down some dangerous paths.

Boston Strangler is brought to screen by writer and director Matt Ruskin. Ruskin has worked hard to tell the story of writers Loretta and Carrie as they face sexism and great personal risk. The dynamic journalism duo broke the horrific truth behind the mysterious murders.

Boston Strangler will head to Hulu on March 17th in the United States, Star+ in Latin America, and Disney+ under the Star banner in all other territories.

Accompanying Boston Strangler on Hulu, ABC Audio has a true crime companion podcast planned. This three-part narrative series will be hosted by award-winning journalist Dick Lehr. Lehr is a former Boston Globe reporter and knew Loretta McLaughlin, the original reporter. This podcast will be free to download on all major platforms prior to the series’ debut. The true crime companion will help listeners journey into the tragic fate of these over fifty-year-old killings and why they are still so intriguing.

Stay tuned with Nerds & Beyond for updates.
