It’s been a long two years without The Mandalorian, but fear not, because our favorite bounty hunter and his tiny green son will finally be making a comeback in season 3 — which is officially set to premiere on Disney+ on March 1, 2023!

Today’s news arrives courtesy of Lucasfilm’s panel at CCXP. The man behind the beskar himself, Pedro Pascal, came out on stage for the announcement. Originally, season 3 was slated for February, as revealed during Star Wars Celebration this past May.

A new image from the upcoming season has been shared as well.

Although the season 2 finale premiered in December 2020, audiences were treated to a surprise appearance from the Mandalorian in the back half of The Book of Boba Fett, starting with the Mando-centric episode “The Return of the Mandalorian.” Now reunited with Grogu, the teaser trailer released in September confirms that this next season is set to take us to Mandalore (and we’ll see the return of Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan Kryze).

Seasons 1 and 2 of The Mandalorian are currently streaming exclusively on Disney+. While you’re waiting, check out our episodic recaps for a season 2 refresher.
