Some big cast news for Prime Video’s The Boys has been announced, and Rob Benedict will be appearing in the upcoming season.

Benedict has appeared on an Eric Kripke show before, as Chuck Shurley and eventually God on The CW’s Supernatural, which Kripke created. Benedict has also appeared on Lucifer, Bosch, NCIS: Hawai’i, and Leverage: Redemption.

Fans started speculating on Benedict’s appearance in the series a few months ago when he teased a new role but was kept heavily guarded. No information has been released yet on just who Benedict will be portraying.

The new season of The Boys is currently filming, and alongside Benedict, Simon Pegg will return, with Rosemarie DeWitt as Hughie’s mom and Elliot Knight appearing in an unknown role.
