The first poster for Disney’s reimagined live-action film The Little Mermaid has arrived! This beautiful movie poster shows Halle Bailey’s Ariel under the sea. We get a good look at her gorgeous tail and can see that she is dreaming of a life above the surface.
In case you have been living in a sea cave for the past few decades, The Little Mermaid tells the story of Ariel. Being the youngest of King Triton’s daughters has made Ariel a little defiant. While longing to explore the world beyond the sea, Ariel finds herself falling for the charming Prince Eric. While interactions between mermaids and humans are forbidden, Ariel believes she must follow her heart. After making a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, she has a chance to experience life on land. However, this deal comes with a price, and ultimately places her life and her father’s kingdom in jeopardy.
This unique reimagined version will be helmed by the visionary filmmaker Rob Marshall. Bringing this new tale to the big screen will be the talented cast of Daveed Diggs, Jacob Tremblay, Awkwafina, Jonah Hauer-King, Art Malik, Noma Dumezweni, Javier Bardem, and Melissa McCarthy. The Little Mermaid will be exclusively in theaters nationwide on May 26, 2023.
