New York Comic Con is in full swing, and with so much to see, it can be hard to prioritize events. We had the chance to stop by “The Sandman Dream Portal by Audible & DC” and can definitively say it’s a do-not-miss exhibit.

Civic Entertainment Group has assembled a walkthrough dream portal in coordination with the release of The Sandman: Part III audiobook, which released on September 28. The immersive tour is led by the voice of the creator, writer, executive producer, and narrator of The Sandman, Neil Gaiman, along with the performances of James McAvoy as Dream/Morpheus, Regé-Jean Page as Orpheus, Miriam Margolyes as Despair, and Kristen Schaal as Delirium.

This event is the perfect reprieve from the hustle and bustle of the con floor. The semi-guided tour through The Dreaming takes about 15-20 minutes, but you’ll want to head back in line and experience it again as soon as you’re through. With a few live performances to supplement Gaiman’s narration, it’s the perfect immersive experience for diehard and casual fans of the series.

The event will take place all weekend at MediaPro Manhattan Studio located at 508 W 37th St, New York, NY 10018, which is about a 5-minute walk from the main entrance of NYCC. The event is free for con-goers.

The hours are as follows:

  • Saturday, October 8, 1-9 p.m.
  • Sunday, October 9, 1-6 p.m.

Neil Gaiman and Desire star from the Netflix series, Mason Alexander Park, stopped by the event on Friday, as well!

Please note that the Dream Portal is meant for adult audiences.

Stay tuned for more coverage of New York Comic Con throughout the weekend!
