‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’: First Trailer Revealed at D23 Expo

D23 is chugging ahead at full speed, with Disney and its properties releasing all sorts of exciting news — from trailers to release dates and more. In the first real press event for the show, Percy Jackson and the Olympians‘ very own Rick Riordan made an appearance today and brought some special guests along with him. Lead trio Walker Scobell , Leah Sava Jeffries , and Aryan Simhadri made their first official appearance at the D23 expo!

Excitingly, the first trailer of the show was also revealed during D23! Check it out below.

The first season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians is set to follow the events of the book series’ first novel, The Lightning Thief. The main cast trio consists of Walker Scobell (Percy Jackson), Leah Sava Jeffries (Annabeth Chase), and Aryan Simhadri (Grover Underwood). Additionally, Charlie Bushnell (Luke Castellan), Dior Goodjohn (Clarisse La Rue), Olivea Morton (Nancy Bobofit), Jason Mantzoukas (Mr. D/Dionysus), Virginia Kull (Sally Jackson), Megan Mullaly (Mrs. Dodds/Alecto), Glynn Turman (Chiron), and Timm Sharp (Gabe “Smelly Gabe” Ugliano) have been cast in the production.
