Wednesday Books, an imprint of Macmillan Publishers, has revealed that a new YA horror anthology is on the way! Titled Night of the Living Queers, the anthology features stories exclusively from queer authors of color and will bring new takes to familiar horror tropes.

Per the deal report, the anthology will take place during a blue moon on Halloween and “explores a night when anything is possible.” Maya Gittelman, Kalynn Bayron, Ryan Douglass, Sara Farizan, Kosoko Jackson, Em Liu, Vanessa Montalban, Ayida Shonibar, Tara Sim, Trang Thanh Tran, and Rebecca Kim Wells contribute to the anthology. Shelly Page and Alex Brown serve as co-editors.

While not much else story-wise is known about the anthology, the blend of established authors and fresh faces already promises an exciting anthology for readers to devour. Bayron, Douglass, Farizan, Jackson, Sim, and Wells have previously published novels. Gittelman will make their publishing debut with the anthology, with Liu, Montalban, Shonibar, and Tran also releasing additional new projects throughout 2023.

Night of the Living Queers currently has no publish date but is expected to release in Fall 2023.
