‘Avengers: The Kang Dynasty’ and ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ Coming 2025

A steady flow of news is coming out of Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con currently during Marvel Studios’ highly anticipated panel. Following confirmation that Phase 4 will come to an end with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and a full reveal of what’s in store for Phase 5, the conversation turned to an even further point in the future: Phase 6. It appears that more Avengers films are on the horizon!

The fourth Avengers film, Endgame, took place in the latter half of Phase 3, forever changing the state of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as we know it alongside the events of Avengers: Infinity War. Given the disarray that the superhero team was left in — having lost some of its original, key members in and after the deadly battle against Thanos — the Avengers have been notably absent from Phase 4.

While we don’t know what the next iteration of the team will look like, as we still have the rest of Phase 4 and the entirety of Phase 5 to get through, Marvel Studios has confirmed that the Avengers will return in Phase 6 with Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars!

An alternate version of Kang the Conqueror (as portrayed by Jonathan Majors), known as He Who Remains, made his MCU debut in the Disney+ series Loki. We’re due to see Kang the Conqueror appear in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. While it’s unclear what exactly will take place in The Kang Dynasty, we do know that it was a multi-issue Avengers comic book storyline that ran from 2001-2002, which saw Kang and his son Marcus arrive in the 21st century with plans to conquer Earth. We can surmise that this film will see the Avengers take on Kang. Meanwhile, as it pertains to Secret Wars, various iterations of this event have taken place at Marvel since its initial comic introduction in 1984.

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty will hit theaters on May 2, 2025, followed by Avengers: Secret Wars on November 7, 2025.
