‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ Trailer Released At SDCC

Arguably the biggest event of the weekend is underway at San Diego Comic-Con with Marvel Studios stepping into Hall H to discuss the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The highly anticipated Black Panther sequel — Black Panther: Wakanda Forever — showcased an official trailer for the film, which release November 11 exclusively in theaters. In addition to the trailer, Marvel Studios also revealed the first poster for the film.

Kevin Feige was joined on stage by director Ryan Coogler and cast members Mabel Cadena, Michaela Cole, Winston Duke, Danai Gurira, Tenoch Huerta, Florence Kasumba, Alex Livinalli, Lupita Nyong’o, Dominique Thorne and Letitia Wright for a Q&A and to release the trailer.

It was also revealed during the panel that Coel will star as Aneka, and that Huerta’s Namor will make his first MCU appearance in the film. The trailer offers first looks at both actors in their roles. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be the final film of Phase 4 of the MCU.

The official description for the film reads:

“In Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira) and the Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba), fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death. As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda.”
