Jared Padalecki got his start as the loveable, boy-next-door Dean Forrester on The WB’s Gilmore Girls. After his five-year run, he stayed on the network (which later turned into The CW) where he portrayed the iconic role he’s most known for, Sam Winchester on Supernatural. After a successful 15-year run on the show, he’s continued on The CW where he stars in and executive produces Walker, as well as serving as executive producer on the Walker prequel, Walker: Independence.

However, did you know he also did some horror films in between seasons of the show? Did you know he worked with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen? Below, we’ll highlight six films and series of Padalecki’s that are available to stream right now.

Gilmore Girls & Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life — Netflix

We would be remiss if we didn’t start out with Gilmore Girls. Viewers watched as Rory Gilmore fell in love with her first love, Dean Forrester (Padalecki), and navigated through her first relationship. Padalecki made his appearance through multiple seasons and even made an appearance in Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life when the show came back for additional episodes in 2016.

New York Minute — Netflix

Warner Bros.

New York Minute, a film starring Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, features Padalecki as one of the lead love interests. Padalecki plays Trey, the son of a senator in this fun film. It’s a fun, light-hearted chick flick and also features one of our favorite 00’s bands, Simple Plan. If you’re looking for something fun to watch of Padalecki’s, this is it.

A Ring of Endless Light — Disney+

Disney

Talk about a throwback. If you’re looking for something very early on to watch in Padalecki’s career, one of the first movies he did was the Disney Channel Original Movie, A Ring of Endless Light. Alongside Mischa Barton (The O.C.) and Ryan Merriman (Pretty Little Liars), Padalecki joins the cast as Zachery, a rich but troubled teen. If you want to feel some nostalgia and watch a Disney Channel Original Movie, check this one out!

Friday the 13th (2009) — Netflix

In this Friday the 13th 2009 remake, Padalecki stars as Clay Miller. This creepy but beloved slasher film is not for the faint-hearted. Clay’s sister goes missing, and he tries to find her but runs into a wild and unpredictable time coming face to face with Jason. Padalecki is so great in the horror genre, and this is one of his best.

Supernatural — Netflix

The CW/WB

We of course have to mention the show Padalecki is most known for — Supernatural. In this 15-season show, Padalecki, along with co-star Jensen Ackles, play two brothers who battle demons, ghosts, angels, and more. Padalecki stars as Sam Winchester, and it’s a must-see for all Padalecki fans. If you’ve seen it before, it’s definitely worth a rewatch… or three.

Walker — HBO Max

Rebecca Brenneman/The CW

This brings us to Padalecki’s latest project. After the end of Supernatural, Padalecki returned to television in his home state of Texas to bring a Walker, Texas Ranger-adjacent project. While it’s not a direct reboot, he plays Cordell Walker, a Texas Ranger from Austin, Texas. The series, which just finished its second season, features some great storytelling, character development, and twists and turns that will keep you hooked and on the edge of your seat. The CW placed a series order for a prequel, Walker: Independence, in which Padalecki serves as executive producer. It’s set to air this fall back-to-back with Walker on The CW.

Aside from the titles on this list, there’s more! Padalecki’s got some really great horror movies such as House of Wax and Cry Wolf. For holidays, he starred in Thomas Kinkade’s a Joyous Christmas. You can rent or buy these on digital platforms such as Prime Video. He also made appearances in The Hillywood Show’s Supernatural parodies, which are available on YouTube. Happy streaming!
