Netflix has been busy showing all that will be heading to the streaming service in the coming year! Included in the announcements was a Fate: The Winx Saga season two teaser.
Here is a quick rundown if you let season one of the Netflix series fly by. Fate: The Winx Saga is based on a popular animated series, Winx Club. The live-action show follows Bloom, played by Abigail Cowen, a teen who discovers she is a fire fairy. This revelation has her being enrolled at a magical boarding school in the Otherworld called Alfea. While there, she makes some friends and some enemies. Bloom shares a suite with Stella, Aisha, Terra, and Musa. Each of these fairies controls a different element. Bloom turns to her new friends to help her unearth secrets about her past. Meanwhile, there are some ancient creatures known as Burned Ones running around. Their presence, and who is behind their return, is a threat to Alfea and the entire Otherworld.
Season two picks up where the action-packed season one ended, with things seemingly calmed down at Alfea. The new clip shows Terra venturing out into the woods. As viewers know, going off school grounds isn’t exactly the safest thing to do. Soon Terra hears rustling and prepares for an attack. Thankfully it is a happy surprise as we get our first look at Flora! Paulina Chávez will be bringing the guardian fairy of nature to these new episodes. Faithful fans of the animated series will greet the popular fairy character with open arms after her absence was felt last season.
With no premiere date for season two as of yet, we will keep our eyes and ears open for any new news. You can currently stream season one of Fate: The Winx Saga on Netflix now. Make sure to follow Nerds & Beyond to stay up to date!
