Universal Studios Hollywood has released a sneak peek at the new Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge ride that will be coming soon to the theme park as part of the Super Nintendo World expansion.

Inspired by the popular game Mario Kart, guests will be taken on a multi-sensory experience like no other. It will integrate head mounted augmented reality, projection mapping technology, a moving ride track, and actual set pieces.

You will climb into a four-seat Mario Kart vehicle and set off on a race. Fans will recognise iconic environments from the games including courses underwater and in the clouds. You will compete as part of Team Mario and collect coins to beat Team Bowser and win the Golden Cup. With such immersive technology, this ride will be amazing to experience over and over again, as no two races will be the same.

The ride will be located within Bowser’s castle within Super Nintendo World, which transports guests into the world of Mario via the iconic Warp Pipe. The newly expanded area will be immersive and a visual spectacle, which also includes themed shopping and dining.

Super Nintendo World and Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge will open in early 2023. For more information head over to the Universal Studios Hollywood website and make sure you check back here for all of the latest news.
