Changes are coming to DC’s Stargirl for the upcoming third season!

In a recast, actor, voice actor, and Robot Chicken co-creator Seth Green will be replacing Jim Gaffigan as the almighty and unpredictable Thunderbolt in season 3 of the superhero series. The wish-granting genie was first brought to life in season 2 thanks to Trae Romano’s Mike, helping take down Eclipso and joining a new heroic group formed by Mike and Alkoya Brunson’s Jakeem.

Green has had a prolific career in the entertainment industry, appearing in projects ranging from Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Dads, and the popular Austin Powers franchise. On the voice acting side, the actor can be heard in Family Guy, The Simpsons, Marvel’s What If…?, and Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series, among plenty of others.

Season 3 of DC’s Stargirl will premiere this fall on The CW! Check out our other Stargirl coverage here.
