As part of an event celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Kingdom Hearts franchise, Square Enix announced Sunday night that there are two new games in development for the series — one being Kingdom Hearts IV and the other being Kingdom Hearts: Missing Link.

Kingdom Hearts: Missing Link is a mobile game for iOS and Android devices. This game will allow players to begin adventures from the realm of Scala ad Calum into the real world. While discovering this new story, players will also engage in exhilarating battles against the series’ long-time enemies — the heartless.

In Kingdom Hearts IV, Sora will make a triumphant return with a massively updated look (RIP to the big clown shoes we all know and love). The storyline for this new game is titled the “Lost Master Arc,” which indicates an exciting addition to the series.

In the brief gameplay trailer shown at the event, audiences see Sora face-off against a giant enemy and are introduced to Quadratum — an expansive, gorgeous, and realistic world, unlike anything the franchise has offered before. Of course, Sora will be joined once again by his beloved companions Donald and Goofy, in addition to Strelitzia, a mysterious new character who appears before Sora in Quadratum.

Stay tuned for updates on these games continue to develop, and check out the announcement trailers for both games below.
