Fans of Amazon’s teen survival series The Wilds, get excited. The streaming giant released a trailer for season 2, dramatically revealing that there were two staged plane crashes, not one!

The Wilds first season focused on eight teenage girls who survive a plane crash, and who have to work together to continue to survive on a deserted island. Unbeknownst to them, the group are being subjected to an experiment engineered by Gretchen Klein, played by Rachel Griffiths (Six Feet Under), the head of an odd women’s empowerment program called Dawn of Eve. Sophia Ali (Faking It, Grey’s Anatomy), Shannon Berry (Offspring), Jenna Clause (Cold Brook), Reign Edwards (The Bold and the Beautiful, McGyver), Mia Healey (Shark), Helena Howard (Don’t Look Deeper), Erana James (Playing for Keeps), and Sarah Pidgeon (Gotham) star as the girls stranded after the staged plane crash, while David Sullivan (Primer, Argo) and Troy Winbush (National Treasure: Book of Secrets, CSI: Miami) star as FBI agents shown in flashforward scenes that take place after the girls are rescued from the island.

In season 2 of The Wilds, the girls learn that there is another island, where another plane crash was staged. This time, the plane contained a group of teenage boys. Zack Calderon (FBI), Aidan Laprete (Hawaii Five-O), Nicholas Coombe (Dora and the Lost City of Gold), Charles Alexander (Mother Dearest), Miles Gutierrez-Riley (The Moon and Back), Reed Shannon (Arcane: League of Legends), Tanner Ray Rook (Side Quest), and Alex Fitzalan (The Society) will play the eight boys, and the season will contrast their struggles on the island and their tensions with the main group of girls from season 1.

“I’ve got a great story for you,” an unknown, ominous voice narrates in the trailer. “Once upon a time, two plane crashes were staged. All of the victims were dosed and stranded on two islands. Eight on one, eight on another. Though that number was subject to change.”

The Wilds season 2 will be released on May 13, exclusively on Prime Video. You can watch the full trailer below.
