Marvel Studios

If you went to see Spider-Man: No Way Home over the weekend (and you stayed for the credits like you should have) you were treated to the teaser for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Now, you can rewatch it as many times as your heart desires.

After his toying with reality in Spider-Man: No Way Home in an effort to help Peter Parker (get into college by brainwashing the universe), Doctor Strange will have to atone for his meddling with the Multiverse.

It’s been rumored that Marvel will be playing with the horror genre in this film, and the teaser certainly hints at that being the case. Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) is set to make her first appearance as Scarlet Witch after her Westview transgressions, Wong (Benedict Wong), the new Sorcerer Supreme, Christine Palmer (Rachel McAdams), and Karl Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor) will also return. Also being introduced is America Chavez, the Multiverse hopping Young Avenger played by Xochitl Gomez.

Another exciting and unexpected addition is Strange Supreme, previously seen in the animated series What If…?. This will be the first crossover from the animated anthology series to the MCU’s live-action projects.

The highly anticipated sequel to Doctor Strange, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, releases exclusively in theaters May 6, 2022.
