Following its theatrical run, Disney+ subscribers will soon be able to watch Marvel Studios’ latest blockbuster Eternals from the comfort of their homes when it lands on the streaming service next month.

Eternals tells the story of a group of heroes from beyond the stars who have protected the Earth since the dawn of man. When monstrous creatures called the Deviants, long thought lost to history, mysteriously return, the Eternals are forced to reunite in order to defend humanity once again.

The film’s all-star cast includes Gemma Chan as humankind-loving Sersi, Richard Madden as the all-powerful Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as cosmic-powered Kingo, Lia McHugh as the eternally young, old-soul Sprite, Brian Tyree Henry as the intelligent inventor Phastos, Lauren Ridloff as the super-fast Makkari, Barry Keoghan as aloof loner Druig, Don Lee as the powerful Gilgamesh, with Kit Harington as Dane Whitman, with Salma Hayek as the wise and spiritual leader Ajak, and Angelina Jolie as the fierce warrior Thena.

Directed by Nomadland‘s Chloé Zhao, Eternals has proven to be a unique, groundbreaking new venture for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, full of intriguing characters with a rich history and plenty of future storytelling potential. In particular, many viewers found themselves enamoured with the connection between Ridloff’s Makkari and Keoghan’s Druig. Make sure to check out our review of the film!

Although Marvel has yet to officially confirm if another Eternals film is in the works, we’ve started speculating what the sequel may entail — including important details from the post-credits scenes.

Don’t miss Eternals when it hits Disney+ on January 12.
