‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’: Second Trailer Showcases Some Familiar Faces

If your trailer senses have been tingling recently, it’s probably because the highly anticipated second trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home has dropped!

The film is the 27th addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and will release December 17, 2021. Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home alumnus director Jon Watts returns to direct the third installment of the MCU’s Spider-Man films, Spider-Man: No Way Home. Distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing and co-produced by Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios, the film has sparked an ever-growing list of fan theories and memes as fans await the release.

Returning for the third installment in the MCU’s Spidey films are Tom Holland (Peter Parker), Zendaya (Michelle Jones), and Jacob Batalon (Ned Leeds). Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) will also join for this Spidey installment, with the sinister Doc Ock making a return (Alfred Molina), as well as an ever-growing list of confirmed appearances from past and present Spidey installments. Based on the trailer, it’s safe to say we have only seen the beginning of what the Marvel Cinematic Multiverse can (and will) bring to audiences.

With this new trailer, two other familiar voices were heard as well: Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin and Jamie Foxx’s Electro. Sandman and Lizard also made brief appearances! With villains from both previous cinematic iterations of the web-slinger, traction for the Spider-Verse gains more speed.

In addition to the trailer, Sony released a secondary poster for the movie featuring both Holland’s Parker and Cumberbatch’s Strange. Still looming in the poster is the very real threat of Molina’s Doc Ock and the Green Goblin. The poster can be seen below.
