The first look footage of Moon Knight has finally been released as a part of Marvel Studios’ 2021 Disney+ Day Special!

Directed by Mohamed Diab, Moon Knight is a globetrotting action-adventure series that tells the story of Marc Spector (Oscar Isaac), a complex vigilante who suffers from a dissociative identity disorder. These multiple identities who live inside him find themselves thrust into a deadly war of the gods against the backdrop of modern and ancient Egypt. Ethan Hawke and May Calamawy are set to star in undisclosed roles.

The footage, which begins at the 11:56 mark in the 14-minute special, opens with a voiceover from Isaac as Marc Spector saying, “I can’t tell the difference between my waking life and dreams.” It’s followed by a response, which may be from Hawke’s character, “The voice in your head … it devours you.”

Moon Knight was created by writer Doug Moench and artist Don Perlin for Marvel Comics, first coming to life in 1975.

Moon Knight will premiere exclusively on Disney+ in 2022.
