We may still have a little while to wait yet for season 3 of FOX’s hit first responder show 9-1-1: Lone Star, but now we know exactly when the first episode will premiere!

Fans will be able to ring in the new year with Firehouse 126 on Monday, January 3 in an episode entitled “The Big Chill.”

A spin-off of the original Los Angeles-based 9-1-1, 9-1-1: Lone Star expands its reach to Texas. The series follows the story of Owen Strand (Rob Lowe) and his son T.K. (Rubinstein), who relocate to the city of Austin to rebuild Firehouse 126 after a terrible tragedy strikes. Captain Strand assembles a team of diverse candidates for his team, including Judd Ryder (Jim Parrack), Marjan Marwani (Natacha Karam), Paul Strickland (Brian Michael Smith), and Mateo Chavez (Julian Works).

The series also stars Sierra McClain, Gina Torres, Rafael Silva, and Brianna Baker (who was promoted to series regular for season 3).

Don’t miss 9-1-1: Lone Star season 3 when it premieres on FOX on Monday, January 3. In the meantime, make sure to catch up on all of our weekly 9-1-1: Lone Star coverage!
